Individual Art Therapy
Individual Art Therapy is custom tailored to meet your specific needs. As a licensed clinician I am able to provide mental health counseling integrated into the Art Therapy experience. Some of the reasons people come in for therapy are:
- feeling disconnected from friends and family
- losing interest in activities or experiences that once brought joy
- increased irritability
- having the same fights over and over with a loved one
- intrusive memories or flashbacks from a traumatic experience
- grief over the loss of a loved one
- sleep disturbances
- realizing you are yelling or nagging more than you'd like
- feeling like you just can't make it through the day
- feeling burnt out
- anger that is hard to sit with
- difficulty concentrating
- not knowing who you are anymore
- worried all the time
- calling in to school or work because it's too hard to leave the house
- numbing uncomfortable feelings with your phone, television, food...
- wanting more meaning in life
- exploring themes of sexuality in a nonjudgmental setting
- wanting to be a better parent
- experiencing writer's block or tapped out creatively
The items on this list are by no means the only reasons people come to see me, but if any of these symptoms sound familiar you may want to drop me a line. Right now I have 30 minute, $50 inquiry sessions available so we can meet and see if we're a good fit for one another. We can discuss what you would like to get out of therapy, what to expect in a session, insurance and payment options, and scheduling. There is no commitment to continue seeing me after an inquiry - some people are ready to work, others need time, others find a better fit with another therapist. Remember: your therapy needs to be the best you can find. My goal is to help you be an informed and comfortable consumer. Please feel free to contact me to set up your inquiry session.
